Materials Workshop

This evening session will consist of a short table-top presentation plus a hands-on workshop and will be suitable for both dentists and nurses. The aim of the event is to update dentists and dental nurses on new dental materials, advise on their properties and benefits and demonstrate their uses. Helen and Mark will discuss the following:

  • Bulk Fill v Composite:   Dual Core Bulk Fill Material—’Fill-Up’ and ’One Coat 7’ Universal Bond
  • Endo HyFlex EDM files
  • Cerec Composite Blocks—BRILLIANT Crios

All products will be available for delegates to examine and try out and there will be some samples to take away also.

Anticipated Learning Outcomes:  by the end of this session delegates will -

  • Be updated on new dental materials and understand their properties and uses
  • Have had the opportunity to examine and handle the materials for themselves
  • GDC development outcome C


Helen Wilson

Helen qualified as a Dental Nurse in 1993.  She has worked in all aspects of dentistry including a year with the Community Dental Service until 2006.  She also ran her own beauty/tanning salon from 2000 – 2007.  Helen has been a dental rep for the past 11 years, the last 6 with Coltene.

Mark Allen, Managing Direct UK & Ireland

Mark started training in 1979 and qualified in 1984 as a Dental Technician at Leeds Dental Institute. He joined Coltene in 2010 and was appointed Managing Director UK and Ireland in 2017. He currently manages a sales team of 10 Territory Managers and four office staff from the company UK base in West Sussex

The event

This event will take place on Monday 11th June 2018, 7.00pm - 9.00pm, 2 hours CPD. 6.30pm for registration and finger buffet with teas/coffees.
